Tradition Among Mountains
At 1,400 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, our house is located in Josa de Cadí, a small mountain village that retains the charm and tranquility of times past. The house is born from the deep roots of our family in this area, with ancestry from Cerneres, a neighboring village that no longer exists, of which only ruins remain. This living memory has inspired us to preserve the essence of rural life as it once was: simplicity, authenticity, and a connection with nature and the land.
The house aims to reflect this tradition: sturdy walls that convey the passage of time, spaces that evoke the peaceful life of mountain villages, and a clear intention to preserve and share this heritage.

Making Use of Nature
The surroundings of Josa de Cadí, in the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, keep the connection with nature alive: forests, meadows, and plants that have always been used for home remedies and infusions. Herbs such as thyme, elderflower, and lavender are part of a popular knowledge passed down from generation to generation.
A special memory is reserved for the trementinaires, women from the Vall de la Vansa and Tuixent who, from the 19th to the 20th century, traveled through villages with their bundles of herbs and ointments to heal and care for others. Their work symbolizes the deep connection between nature, health, and daily life in the valley.
Music, a Connecting Thread
Music has always been present throughout the valley. In Josa, music is part of collective life: from traditional songs passed down through generations to gatherings and festivals that have marked an era.
In the 1980s, the arrival of electronic and cyber music opened a new cultural chapter, which over time has adapted to new trends without ever losing its original essence. Festivals and musical initiatives have kept this creative spirit alive, making music an expression of community and identity.
In our house, this spirit is very much alive as well: music accompanies shared moments, inspires calm and joy, and continues to be a link between the past, present, and future of Josa de Cadí and its surroundings.
